7 home games, including a Super Sunday netball bonanza, await the Northern Stars in 2018.

The official ANZ Premiership draw, released today, sees a flurry of home games towards the back end of the season enabling the Stars to get most of their travel done in the early part of the competition.

The Stars open their 2018 campaign in Palmerston North at the first Super Sunday of the competition against the Silvermoon Tactix and then face SKYCITY Mystics in Auckland before traveling to again face Silvermoon Tactix back in Christchurch.

The Stars first home game is against Waikato BOP Magic before another run of three away games – facing Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel in Invercargill, then Steel again but this time in Christchurch for the second Super Sunday event and then Waikato BOP Magic in Tauranga.

Another game at home against Silvermoon Tactix follows before seeing off Central Pulse in Wellington, Magic at home, and a SKYCITY Mystics local derby at Trusts Arena. We then have a potential race to the finals with home games against the Central Pulse, SKYCITY Mystics on Super Sunday, Central Pulse again for the Monday night double header and finally Steel in the final game of the round play.

The Super Sunday concept was a hit in 2017 where all six teams congregate in the one venue and play three back to back matches. This is a must attend blockbuster day of elite netball, the chance to see every ANZ Premiership player on court in one venue, as well as the double header treat with Stars playing again on the Monday night.

The home venue for the Northern Stars will be announced in the coming weeks.

Memberships will go on sale before Christmas, or very early in the New Year depending on venue confirmation.
